Sunking M.I.A.

I've been kind of lacking on the blog entries due to a bunch of cool projects keeping me busy these last few months.

Here's a quick overview:

-I recorded the score composed by composer-extraordinaire Mike Andrews for a new Dreamworks feature She's Out Of My League

-Mixed three promo spots for Fox TV including one for the show (here's a link to one of them) (Look for the trailer called: Jack In D.C.) all composed by cinematic-funkonaut Dan Ubick

-Mastered a new record for raw, funky Hip-Hop/Reggae group Simple Citizens

-Mastered/mixed a new EP for Live Electronics group Jogger (members include the "King of Warm Digital")

-Currently tracking/mixing cuts for a Rhythm Roots Allstars' caribo-funk full-length

-Mastering a funky-full-length for legendary California Producer DJ Greyboy

Peace,

SK

Sshhh...Sex and the City is not really my thing, but...

Me (strings) and the Orgone'rs (rhythm section) made it on to a song on the soundtrack. The Jack Splash-produced song, "All Dressed Up In Love," is beautifully executed by Miss Jennifer Hudson and so cleverly co-written by Mr. Cee-Lo Green. Check it here:

Why Does Musical Genius So Often Go Unnoticed?

I just stumbled onto the Saint Or Soldier myspace page. This is my friend Evan's new project and it has officially blown my mind! Evan is a true artist that spews magic every time he opens his mouth or grabs a guitar! There is not a trick or any facade here! These two songs have made my year! Somebody please put this record out so that I can buy it!!!

IRON MAN, Rhythm Roots Allstars, and Sunking

Hey All!,

If you're going to see Iron Man this weekend, check out our brief blip in the movie! I mixed the song with Davey Chegwidden (producer) and Rhythm Roots are the band backing Ghostface. The song is called, "Slept On Tony With Dirt," and it's featured in a music video on the screen in the private airplane towards the beginning of the movie. Don't blink, or you might miss it-haha!

Peace,

SK
